ICT for sustainabl development -Java World Congress and Exhibition 2010 was held on 19-21 Novemberat SLECC & Taj Samudra Colombo at Sri Lanka and FST USJP participated in it.

World Food Day 2010

World Food Day (16th October ) is a world wide event that was designed to increase awareness, understanding and make an informing day to alleviate hunger around the world.
AFST decided to launch informative campaign regarding the importance of World Food Day for  public on 15th of October.

The work plan,

-Distributing a leaflet to public and

-Selling a fresh carrot drink

    at the university premises.

 

Cricket Match 2010

AFST organized its annual Cricket tournament on 13th November 2010 at PEPILIYANA ground at

8.00 am.

Donation to Sri Lanka Army

AFST decided to donate sanitary equipments at Panagoda Sri Lanka Army Camp premises. This programme  was named as "Diriya Puthunata Pen Podak"

Pro Food Pro Pack Exhibition 2010

-Awards we won-

Pro Food Pro Pack Exhibition - 2010 was held at BMICH Colombo from 21st August-23rd August.

Here our Department won an award for -The most commercially viable research project for - Nutri Flakes.
We displayed 15 new food products.
