FST members were participated in workshop on development of detail syllabus of BSc Special Degree in Sports Science and Management (SSM). This was another complementation task for adding a new Department –“Sport Science and Management” for the Faculty of Applied Sciences in USJP. This was held at USJP with participation of UGC members and various academic members from selected universities of Sri Lanka. The Program was ended up with a dinner at Hotel Fingara

2012/2013 batch of FST USJP and their parents were warmly welcomed by the senior students of the department of Food Science and Technology.
Dean Prof.Sudantha Liyanage and Head of the department Dr. Navarathna, also participated in this occasion at the Physics Auditorium USJP at 2.00 pm.

Symposium 2011 at Hotel Topaz Sri Lanka

 International Potash Institute (Switzerland),University of Sri Jayewardenepura ( Sri Lanka) and department of Agriculture (Sri Lanka) have organized a symposium on ROLE OF POTASSIUM IN SUSTAINING THE YIELD AND ITS QUALITY at Hotel Topaz Sri Lanka on 27th and 28th October 2011. Prof.KKDS Ranaweera of University of Sri Jayewardenepura was the secretary to the symposium. Vice Chancellor, students and the staff members of FST USJP participated in it.
